The MacAllister Undergraduate
Student Paper Competition
Sponsored by the Jack A. MacAllister Chair in Regional Economics
- Paper should provide an analysis of an issue of importance to the formation of national,
state or local public policy. Papers will likely come from the areas of business,
economics, history, philosophy, political science, or sociology.
- Students submitting papers must be undergraduates enrolled full-time at Creighton
University.
- Papers must be double-spaced, and no more than 20 pages in length.
- Papers must include an abstract that is less than 150 words in length.
- Authors should use the Chicago Manual of Style as a general guide to manuscript
preparation.
- Three copies of the paper should be submitted to Shirley Gust, Secretary for the
Department of Economics & Finance by April 15, 2002.
- The winning papers will be announced by May 1, 2002.
- The author of the winning paper will receive $300 along with full recognition at the
Spring college awards ceremony. Author of the second place paper will receive
commensurate recognition and $150.
- A summary of the winning paper will be published in Economic Trends.
