
Course Description:
Students in Entrepreneurial Finance study the financial management of
an entrepreneurial entity. The differences in managing small
businesses (as compared to large corporations), the financial management
of day to day operations, and the sources and uses of capital are all
covered. In addition, attention is given to growth and exit
strategies including use of venture capital, public offering of shares,
inheritance by family members, and bankruptcy. Special topics
include microenterprise operations and microlending and ethical issues
faced by entrepreneurs in their financial decision-making.
